Kitchen remedies for pain and damage caused to skin by exposure to sun
Too much has already been said about the extent of damage caused to skin by exposure to the harmful UV rays of the sun. The skin loses its luster, it starts wrinkling before time and its suppleness and elasticity starts waning. Here are some simple home remedies to help ease the pain and damage caused by the sun.
The cool-cool wipes
Take 3 or 4 soft and super absorbent thin cotton or lint squares, their size big enough to cover your face and neck. Soak them in clean plain water and squeeze out all the water. Fold the pieces, place them in a clean dry tray and refrigerate.
After a day of sun exposure, wash and dry your face and then remove one cloth from the refrigerated tray and spread over face and neck. Keep it on for 3 to 4 minutes. You will feel extremely refreshed and the skin feels great. Alternatively, you can add 2-3 drops of rose water to a bowl of water and soak the cloths in it for a more fragrant wipe.
Aloe Vera treatment
You can either use Aloe Vera gel squeezed from its plant or you can buy the gel over the counter. Apply the gel on the area of sunburn for quick relief and quick healing.
